About Equimusic - The Freestyle Music Data Base

The purpose of equimusic.com is to help riders find music that makes their horse look like he/she is “dancing” to the music. It is a database of music selected to work for the walk, trot, canter, passage/piaffe. Each month it grows with new selections, thereby ensuring a variety of music to try for your horse. You will know when the music “fits” your horse because both of you will “feel” it and people watching will say, “You’re dancing!”

Equimusic is a free on-line resource for freestyle enthusiasts created by Michael Matson. Michael Matson is an adult amateur rider and has competed in freestyles at First Level and Pas de Deux. He created “The Dancing Horse Fund” which provides grants to support freestyle activities through The Dressage Foundation. He also is known for his popular “Ride to Music” clinics.
